Supporting marine works from the water

Port works are largely done from the water: dredging, levelling of rubble beds, caisson placement, piling and diving work. We provide the floating resources and crews these works need in Ferrol and in other ports in Galicia and Spain: hopper barge, pontoons, support boats and divers.

Dredging and material dumping

• Split-hopper barge (Amarradores Doscientos) for transporting and dumping dredged material, sand and aggregates at the authorised dumping grounds.
• Support for dredging spreads: boats for crew and material transfer, buoy positioning and marking of work areas.
• Environmental dredging: we took part in the environmental dredging of the ría do Burgo, removing contaminated sediments under continuous environmental control, and in dredging of access channels and basins in the ría of Ferrol.

Levelling and caisson placement

Marine support for the levelling of rubble beds and the placement of concrete caissons in breakwaters and quays: support boats for towing and positioning the caissons, crew and material transfer and coordination of manoeuvres with the construction teams. We have worked on the levelling of the outer port of Ferrol, the caisson placement of the Port of Ferrol extension and the construction of rubble beds and quays at Punta Langosteira.

Underwater works

With professional divers we carry out:

• Hull cleaning of vessels at the shipyard and at anchor.
• Seabed cleaning of basins and jetties.
• Inspection of underwater infrastructure: quays, piles, outfalls, water intakes and pipelines.
• Support for subsea pipeline and cable installation and for piling.
• Connection and inspection of moorings.
