Marine transport in the Port of Ferrol and the ría

With our service boats we take on board whatever a vessel needs when it is at anchor, alongside a berth without access or under repair at the shipyards of the ría: crews and technicians, spare parts, provisions and project material. And we bring ashore what has to leave the ship, including its waste, with the documentation required by the regulations.

It is a daily service for ship’s agents, shipowners, shipyards and technical service companies, coordinated with the mooring, anchoring and other port operations we carry out.

What we transport

People

Crews, technicians, surveyors and project staff to vessels at anchor or to installations without land access, in boats certified for passenger transport and fitted with the required life-saving equipment.

Material and equipment

Spare parts, tools, measuring equipment, small containers and project material. The boats with auxiliary cranes, such as Amarradores Doce and Pelícano, allow heavy items to be loaded and unloaded on board without terminal equipment.

Provisions and supplies

Provisions, water and stores to vessels at anchor or alongside, coordinated with the supplier and the vessel to reduce waiting times.

Ship-generated waste

Selective collection of solid waste, used oils and oily water generated on board, delivered to an authorised waste manager with collection certificates. This is the service that allows the vessel to comply with MARPOL and with the port waste reception plan.

How we work

  1. Request: vessel, position (berth or anchorage), time and what has to be moved.
  2. Planning: we assign the boat according to the load, the number of people and sea conditions, and agree the embarkation point.
  3. Operation: the skipper liaises with the vessel for coming alongside or to the accommodation ladder.
  4. Documentation: delivery note and, for waste, collection certificate and proof of delivery to the waste manager.

Service area

Inner and outer Port of Ferrol, ría of Ferrol (shipyards in Fene and Ferrol, Mugardos, industrial terminals) and ría of Ares. For other Galician ports, please ask.
